Bonding

Bonding can help restore teeth that have spaces, or repair teeth that are chipped. In this procedure, the tooth’s enamel is lightly etched, then covered with an adhesive that is cured with an ultraviolet light. Then, to the surface of the tooth, we place a soft composite resin and mold the resin into a shape that is desired. The resin is hardened and bonded to the tooth with an ultraviolet light source. The new material is then shaped and polished and most times blends with the existing color of the tooth.

Bonding is painless and typically anesthesia-free, plus you get immediate results with just one office visit. But bonding only lasts for a limited time, and easily chips or stains.
